Karolina Kurkova was born in Czech Republic, to Josef Kurka, a Czech basketball player, and a Slovak mother. Karolina Kurkova had a slight taste of what celebrity would be like, as her father Josef Kurka was a star basketball player. As a child, her height made her relatively awkward and gangly, but that would all change with age. After a friend sent photos of Kurková to an agency in Prague (as is the case of most models), Karolina Kurkova immediately landed a runway appearance, as well as a commercial and print ad. Hearts On Fire has created a dazzling diamond bra to celebrate the 10-year-anniversary of the Victoria's Secret 'Fantasy Bras,' which have a combined value that surpasses $96 million in diamonds, jewels and precious metals.
Inspired by the Victoria's Secret 'Very Sexy' collection, the balconet-style bra includes more than 2,000 diamonds and weighs 800 carats. The centerpiece is a 10-carat Hearts On Fire diamond brooch with a Victorian floral motif, meant to embody "the romance, glamour and sophistication that is Victoria's Secret."
Karolina Kurkova, a Victoria's Secret "angel," models this year's bra, which will be featured in the 2006 Victoria's Secret "Christmas Dreams and Fantasies" catalog, coming out this month.
