Caroline Flack has said the US star Nicole Scherzinger has brought an emotional quality to the X-factor reminiscent of Cheryl Cole .
And describing the former Pussycat Doll she continued: “Despite being this huge glamorous international superstar she’s got this lovely down to earth personality, you connect with her straight away, she’s a real girls’ girl.”
Ms Flack also told This Morning Hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that Mel B has bought a scary new edge to the panel.
”I didn’t realise how mean she was going to be but she totally lived up to her name. She was very honest, but she was very blunt and straight to the point. She became Scary Spice once again.”
The first show of the new series was packed with its fair share of drama as one hopeful Zoe stormed off the stage after being told to sing a second song because the judges wanted to see the ‘real side of her’.
The blond pink impersonator, 22, flew into a rage throwing the mic at the audience and slamming her hands into cameras, claiming she had been asked to sing a song by Pink
However Caroline revealed that the singers on the show are given multiple options and “No-one tells you what to sing”
