Amanda Bynes Charged with DUI, Asks President Obama to Fire Arresting Officer

We’re not quite sure if the White House has the authority to intervene on Hollywood DUI matters. 

But that hasn’t stopped actress Amanda Bynes issuing a plea to US President Barack Obama for help after she was officially charged with driving under the influence. 

The Hairspray star was hit with one count of misdemeanour DUI stemming from her arrest in April after she accidentally drove into a police car in Los Angeles. 

Amanda faces a maximum of six months behind bars if convicted, but the former What I Like About You star took to Twitter ask the President – yes, really – for help with the situation.

She tweeted to Barack Obama that she doesn’t don’t drink and he should fire the cop who arrested her. 

District Attorney’s officials are seeking a sentencing enhancement because Bynes allegedly refused to take either a breathalyzer or a blood test at the scene. 

There’s no word yet on whether Obama will be helping Amanda out or if he will attend her hearing himself!
