Winter 2010-2011 Must Have: The Fur Vest

The fur vests make a strong come back this season. It is a universal attire that looks elegant or trendy casual, depending on the items paired with it.

How to Wear A Fur Vest:

Pair faux or real fur vests with skinny jeans, shiny leggings, slim pants, shorts or a flirty dress. Remember that whatever you pair it with should be slim fitting to counteract the bulk of the waistcoat. If worn improperly you will look bigger than you actually are, which is no good.
Try peep-toe ankle boots for a chic look or ballet shoes for a casual look.

Faux fur comes in a great number of colors and patterns. Brown and gray color fur vests allow more color gradations and have more visual interest. Black and white fur vests tend to look flat, unless you wear the long-haired one. There are mock-neck, v-neck, or fold-down collar fur vests. Kiet's love for Panda bears

I often talk about my oldest son's love for dinosaurs, well I have another son, baby Kiet (2yrs now) and he is crazy about panda bears. It's total mystery for me why a child can be attracted to something so specific...it's not bears in general he likes, no he likes panda bears! :)

Craft project: Hot Air Balloon

Helen Bird always makes the sweetest craft projects for her beautiful twin girls and I am very glad she shares them with us. Today she made a Hot Air Balloon. I am thinking of using this great idea for Lode's Birthday party which is coming up soon. Viewed from such a complete nutrient content, consumption of soy milk gives a positive effect on health. Some benefits of soy milk, among others:

Soy milk does not contain lactose, the carbohydrate compound found in animal milk that can cause "lactoseintolerance" of the digestive tract reject incoming lactose resulting in symptoms of diarrhea. Data show that 75% of Africans and 90% of Asians have "lactose intolerance". In addition, soy milk contains compounds that are prebiotic sugar in the form stakiosa and raffinosa. This prebiotic sugar triggers an increase immunity and help expenditure toxins in the body.

The proteins in soy milk plays a role in decreasing the level of cholesterol in the blood. The FDA states that consumption of soy protein as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol significantly reduces the risk of coronary heart disease. The FDA recommends 25 grams of soy protein consumption for each day.
Soy milk contains no hormones, such as that contained in animal milk, especially cow's milk. Content of cow's milk has hormones, both natural hormone of the body of a cow or a synthetic hormone rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone) that stimulate milk production to 20%. This hormone will affect the growth and development of the body.

Soy milk is rich in isoflavones, one of antioxidant compounds. Each cup of soy milk contains 20 mg of isoflavones, especially genistein and daidzein, while cow's milk does not. Isoflavones play a role in lowering cholesterol, reduce symptoms of menopause, prevent osteoporosis and reduce the risk of cancer (prostate and breast cancer). Cancer cases is very low in countries with high consumption of soy protein include soy milk. Isoflavones also play a role in protecting cells and DNA from oxidative damage.
