Despite splitting from her boyfriend, Ellie Goulding is worried about her ex’s reaction to her new album. 

The Starry Eyed singer played the songs to her former Radio 1 DJ boyfriend Greg James so that he wouldn’t hear them on the radio for the first time. 

Speaking to The Sun, the singer revealed that although her new track is based on her 18 month relationship, she tried to be sympathetic to his feelings. 

Ellie was pictured arriving at BBC Live Lounge to perform on Fearne Cotton’s show to promote her new single ‘Anything Could Happen’. 

The singer had part of her hair shaven and pink highlights along with a military camouflage jacket, black leather trousers and black high heels boots. 

But whether Greg likes the song or not, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are likely to be fans. 

Ellie revealed she had the royal seal of approval as Kate and William wrote her a lovely letter of thanks for performing at the royal wedding.
