He may be newly single for the third time but it’s not Katie Holmes who has been speaking out about her marriage to Tom Cruise.
Nicole Kidman has revealed details about her battle against depression as her marriage to the Top Gun actor broke down.
Speaking for the first time to Who magazine in Australia, the Moulin Rouge star admitted that she was too young at the age of 23 to wed the star.
Nicole, who split after 11 years of marriage with two adopted children, said she “got married really fast and really young”.
“When it didn’t work out I had to really dig deep and find my way through depression. I have no regrets about all of it. It was all part of growing up”.
The actress revealed to the magazine that the depression stemmed from her inability to conceive with Tom after fertility treatment failed and she suffered miscarriages.
But the actress has no regrets, saying that she did have a fantastic marriage for a long time and it gave her Bella and Connor.
She did also set the rumors straight about helping Katie Holmes plan her high-profile divorce.
