The Spice Girls reunited to wow the crowd at the closing ceremony at the London 2012 Olympics last night.
The band, who had not performed together since 2007, received a rapturous reception when they arrived on stage in five London black cabs.
Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton emerged from the cabs to launch into their breakthrough hit Wannabe with an energetic dance routine.
Emma wowed the crowds in a stunning, short pink dress and Geri gave homage to her famous Union Jack dress – this time, a super-short red dress with Union Jack flags attached to the hips.
Victoria Beckham, whose fashion label had been honoured earlier in the ceremony, appeared in a black strapless gown by Giles Deacon.
Mel C opted for a flowing white jumpsuit whilst Mel B strutted around the stage in a sequinned bodysuit.
The girls performed their smash hit Spice Up Your Life from the tops of their cabs whilst PM David Cameron and Mayor of London Boris Johnson danced in the stands.
After the performance, Geri tweeted: “That was amazing!!!! Thank you all, we love you!!xx” and Victoria agreed, tweeting “We did it!! I love u girls so much!!!!! xxx vb”.
