Former Olympic Athletes: Where Are They Now?

With scores of Olympic athletes set to compete in the London Games, we wondered where the gold medal stars of games gone by are now….

Recent Olympians like USA Swimmer Michael Phelps have returned to the pool to compete not only for gold, but for (another) world record. With 14 gold medals and two bronze, if Phelps wins 3 more medals he’ll have the title for most career medals won by a single athlete in Olympic history. 

And as it turns out, greatness likes great company!

Take a look at fellow Olympic champion Apolo Anton Ohno hanging with Phelps in the training pool…

But wait, swimming isn’t his sport…

Though Ohno earned his gold on the ice rink â€" he translated his moves to the dance floor and won dancing with the stars in 2007 with partner Julianne Hough!

But he’s not the only one to manage that… Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson won the reality dancing competition two years later at age 17!

We wonder how Olympic medalist Bruce Jenner would do in that competition… these days he’s busy raising kids and keeping up with his Kardashian step-children.

At least he’s staying active! Some athletes never slow down..
