AnnaLynne McCord may deal with heavy drama on her show, 90210, but the actress knows unscripted, real life hardships as well. 

She’s highly involved in efforts to end human trafficking and slavery in today’s modern world, and at a recent Somaly Mam Foundation event, she opened up to the crowd and admitted one reason why the cause is close to her heart. She’s a survivor of sexual assault. 

AnnaLynne reportedly says she knows what it feels like to not say “no,” just because she didn’t feel the right to… Relating to what these women apparently go through 20 times a night. 

The 25-year-old admits she was sexually taken advantage of by someone close to her, and had no voice to prevent it at the time… But now she does, and she wants to speak for others too. 

AnnaLynne’s dedication even takes her to Cambodia every Christmas during her break from her show… And that’s no act.
