Leighton Meester is fast becoming an icon of New York Fashion and new pictures from the set of Gossip Girl show exactly why. 

Wearing a stunning floral coat, smart grey trousers and blue designer handbag, the 26-year-old was filming scenes for the hit series in Central Park in New York City. 

But even a fashion icon has to have a few comfortable moments, as shown when Leighton swapped her blue high heeled shoes for a pair of cosy Ugg boots.

The actress was joined on set by Michelle Trachtenberg and Chace Crawford as the cast film the final series of the show.
