Heâs not tender to hear about his donkey sauce getting dissed.
But TV chef Guy Fieri couldnât just sit back in silence after his new restaurant was, totally panned in the New York Times.
He went on the Today show to defend his Times Square eatery called Guyâs American Kitchen & Bar saying that the review was ridiculous and the reviewer had another agenda.
Entitled âAs not seen on TVâ by critic Pete Wells the review consists of 34 scathing questions aimed directly at Guy, such as âWere you struck by how very far from awesome the âAwesome Pretzel Chicken Tendersâ are?â and âwhen we hear the words âDonkey Sauceâ, which part of the donkey are we supposed to think about?â
Seed sown, thanks for the thought.
Today show presenter Savannah Guthrie also pointed out to Guy that 56 reviews on Yelp only gave it 2 and a half stars out of 5.
Mr Fieri admitted that the restaurant was ânot really expecting toâ knock peopleâs socks off after having been open for just two months.
So youâre in Times Square and feeling a bit peckish, maybe you can tell us what the hee-haw is all about?
