Need More Sleep? Blame the Body Clock

When you feel need more sleep than your peers, the results of this study might be entertaining. The human body clock was programmed number of people need to sleep longer than others.

Internal clock or circadian rhythm is control when we sleep and wake up, and play a role in other biological processes such as temperature regulation and hormone production. Described, this body's internal clock creates a signal that divides the circadian cycle into two distinct periods, biological day and night. In biological night, our body changes hormone levels, temperature, and a tendency to sleep.

On average, adults sleep 7.5 hours a night, some people need more time, and others less. Some researches comparing long sleepers, it usually takes up to more than nine hours, and briefly, which is less than six hours. The volunteers were asked to watch for 40 hours, so long sleepers and short sleepers are in the same condition.

Of the various measures that include hormone levels, body temperature, and sleepy, it is known that long sleepers have a longer biological night compared with those who used to sleep for a while. This means that there are differences in circadian signals in their bodies.

The cause of this difference is not known. However, researchers uncovered the fact that it explains why it is difficult to change sleep habits.
